This is a nice example of a GPO jade green 312L with drawer. It has been stripped down and re built after each part has been cleaned and polished. The colour is unfaded and so a beautiful vibrant green colour. The dial has been stripped down, cleaned and serviced to run perfectly. It is fitted with the very best hand plaited cotton handset cord, an electronic microphone and a quality round plastic line in cord with a UK telephone plug socket. The handset is dated 1954. I haven't had one of these for over 4 years and so they are very rare to find in good condition. This one has some miner imperfections as photographed. Very faint hairline in the ear piece, a very small chip on the drawer entry to the right side and a small crack in the handset. I have priced this very keenly and at the time of listing there are a few on Ebay from £1450 to £1750 and so take a look to see what you get for the money. If you want to view before you buy, call me to arrange an appointment. I can make a dial label with your information at no extra charge. The dial has been set up using a special line simulator to make sure it will work on both cable and copper wire networks. It has been tested on our own BT line to make sure it is working perfectly. As you can see this is a very nice example of a very sought after telephone. Please note that if you want it to dial out I would recommend having the pulse to tone unit fitted. This will then work on modern telephone VOIP equipment. It is wired up to ring on modern two wire systems. Without this fitted it will work as answer only perfectly.
