This telephone have been totally stripped down and rebuilt. It is a very good un faded colour and is all original. I have fitted it with a very best quality hand plaited braided handset cord, a GPO specification round plastic line in cord, an electronic microphone and new replacement rubber feet. It retains an original GPO No12 alpha numeric dial with stainless steel finger wheel. The handset is dated 1952 and the base 1954. The internals are all genuine and the telephone has been fully converted and tested to work perfectly top both dial out and receive. This telephone is not perfect and has some imperfections as listed. I replaced the mouthpiece for a new old stock 1950s part. This is slightly different in colour to the handset and so is the ear cap which is perfect but a slight mismatch in colour. The hand set has some small cracks as shown in the pictures and the body has a small chip as pictured to the side. Other small chips have been removed and polished but it looks great. The dial mounting has some repaired cracks but is un seen as the dial covers them completely. This telephone actually looks very nice and I have priced it to sell. A high class antique shop would be a great setting or a collector wanting a telephone for everyday use without to much worry about damaging it. Lots more work involved in a telephone like this for little financial gain. I can make a dial label with your information at no extra charge.
