I am often asked I have a genuine GPO candlestick without the need to have a wood wall mounted bell set. This has been fully restored and is now in wonderful condition. The original blackened coating on the brass parts has been removed and polished to reveal a lovely polished brass finish. It is fitted with a small electronic board inside that allows both the speech and receiver to work perfectly without the need for a bell set that normally houses these electronics. It has a small internal bell and so is a beautiful stand alone item ready to simply plug in and go. It was made in 1926 and the receiver still has its original black coating and original ear cap and 1920s internals with diaphragm. I only have one as it cost me quite a lot to get restored to this condition by someone that really knows what he is doing. This is connected to a very best quality hand plaited all British manufactured braided line in cord and connected to a genuine GPO BT20 connection block and then to a GPO specification round plastic line in cord with a UK telephone plug socket.
