This a beautiful little telephone made for the GPO by Siemens Brothers. It has been totally stripped down and rebuilt after each part has been cleaned and polished. This includes the dial which has been set up to work correctly on the modern exchange. As you can see this is in wonderful condition and all original other than a best quality British manufactured hand plaited braided cord, a line in cord with a UK plug socket fitting and an essential electronic microphone for perfect speech transmission. As you can see it has some very minor colour mismatch to the base where over the 56 years the acrylic parts have become a little whiter. The handset is marked 164 55 and you can read the base marks yourself on the final picture. This model has no internal bell fitted and so if required I can fit a small bell inside at no extra charge or you can buy a wall mounted bell from the left side. These can be fitted into either a double socket to the telephone at or into any other socket in the house. I can make a dial label with your own information at no extra charge.
