This is a nice early internal house phone. Probably used to communicate across a large house. I would estimate the date at around 1895 due to the open terminal receiver. This is in as found condition and as you can see is a wonderful item. As you can see the microphone has been modernised probably in the 1930s or 40s but otherwise as it was made. The Bakelite ear piece is broken but the receiver is otherwise undamaged. This is sold as a not working original antique and would look great on the wall of a very large house. I can see no makers name but it has some numbers printed as shown below. I don’t get many items from this period in such good original condition.
