Hard to find these now. They had no dial and were battery operated.

SOUTHERN RAILWAY WALL TELEPHONE

This is not a cheap reproduction as I have tried to keep many of the original parts and spent many hours to get to this stage. The wooden parts were made from solid wood and I have taken the switches out and replaced with a genuine GPO No10 enamel faced dial. This telephone has a GPO 164 black Bakelite handset dated 1948. This part is a fabulous quality reproduction that is now no longer available. I have fitted a pulse to tone unit in this one and so will work on any network and is VOIP enabled. It has also been fitted with an electronic microphone, a best quality very long brown braided handset cord and a handmade plastic line in cord with a UK telephone plug socket. The original wiring along with the bell mechanism has been replaced due to it being battery and so incompatible with modern networks.
