This telephone has been stripped down and rebuilt after each part has been cleaned and polished. It has been fitted with a very best quality all British manufactured hand plaited braided handset cord, an electronic microphone and a GPO specification round plastic line in cord with a UK telephone socket. The handset is marked 1954 and the base 1946. As you can see it is a wonderful example. The bell cover is new and as you can see looks stunning. The dial is a GPO No12 with an alpha numeric dial face. It has been set up using a special line simulator to make sure the dial speed and contacts are correct to allow it to work on both copper wire and cable networks. This has then been tested on our own BT land-line. If you want it to work just like a modern telephone with tone dialling then you will need a pulse to tone unit fitted although not needed if all you want to do is dial out normally. Only essential if your network wont support pulse dialling (99% do) or you need to contact your bank or retrieve messages etc. I can make dial label with your information at no extra charge.
