This is a very nice example of a GPO 121L telephone dated 1924. These old model require a lot of care and knowledge and I don't always have the time to dedicate to these projects. This one has been kept as original as possible and has a beautiful GPO No10 enamel faced dial. The metal work has been re finished and the wood was rubbed down stained and waxed. I have not taken out any of the usage marks and as you can see the wood to the rear has a small crack as show. The original ring capacitor is marked 1948 and so some GPO upgrading must have occurred then. I have fitted rubber feet to the rear to allow the cable to run behind and also can be mounted to an uneven wall. I personally love them in what I consider good honest original condition restored to a good standard but not to perfection. The internals are all original and wired correctly for modern use. I would suggest it will work perfectly on a BT line but any line allowing pulse dialling should be ok but not TalkTalk. I can convert to work on any UK telephone system including Voip but I will have to by pass the original wiring but leaving in place. I can make a dial label with your information at no extra charge.
