This is a beautiful example with a few minor imperfections. It has been totally stripped down and rebuilt after each part has been cleaned and polished. The handset is marked 1954 and the base 1955. This telephone has a genuine GPO No12 dial with an alpha numeric dial face. It is fitted with a very best all British manufactured hand plaited braided handset cord and a GPO specification round plastic ivory line in cord with a UK telephone plug socket. I have also fitted an electronic microphone to bring the sound quality up to modern standards. This model was designed to be fitted to a GPO No 26 bell set and so had no internal bell. I have fitted a small bell inside that gives a very pleasant ring but not very loud. Ideal for a bedroom or in a sitting room. The cradle has been replaced with a wonderful reproduction which is a perfect colour match. The body has some very faint craizing which I doupt you cn see and some crackling marks under the handset as shown. Honestly if you see it in the flesh you might wonder what I was talking about. I can make a dial label with your information at no extra charge.
