A very rare and sought after French telephone.

Firstly I would like to say I am not an expert on French telephones but I have seen this model in books. Some information I have found is that it is dated at around the turn of the century and is known as the violin. It has a plaque on the front that reads "Societe Industrielle Des TELEPHONES 25 Rue Due 4 Septembre PARIS"

It is in beautiful condition and has what looks to be the original handset cod in perfect condition which must be as rare as hens teeth. I am not an expert and so have taken many photographs to show the condition etc. The size is 8" X 6 3/4" X 14" and so quite a good size. This is a non working item and would either go to a collector or someone that wants a period decorative piece of history for their home.

I loaned this out to the recent production of Mr Selfridge. I don't know if it was used but look out for it if you watch the programme.
